Rajamahendravaram: BJP State President and Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeshwari has stated that the membership of the Legislative Assembly will be canceled if an MLA fails to attend sessions for six months. Speaking to reporters at the BJP office in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday, she criticized YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, urging him not to neglect the responsibility entrusted to him by the people. She emphasized that attending the Assembly and addressing public concerns is a fundamental duty of any elected representative.
In another statement, Purandeshwari called on voters from the Krishna-Guntur Pattabhadru constituency to support Alapati Rajendra Prasad, the alliance-backed candidate. She urged graduates to actively participate in the elections and use their votes to bring about meaningful change.
As the political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh heats up ahead of the upcoming elections, Purandeshwari’s remarks highlight the BJP’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the state. With strong criticism directed at the ruling party and calls for voter engagement, the alliance is making efforts to consolidate support.
