Amaravati, June 15: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has launched a significant restructuring of the administration, marking a new phase in governance. On Saturday, Chief Secretary Nirabh Kumar Prasad, Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta, and officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) convened at his residence for crucial discussions.
Reports indicate that a comprehensive exercise is underway regarding transfers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The CMO has compiled a list of officials from the previous government who allegedly violated regulations, signaling a shift towards appointing capable officers committed to upholding governance norms.
Efforts are also aimed at addressing issues related to corruption and inefficiency, with plans to reassign officials suspected of being involved in malpractices. Senior figures such as Praveen Prakash, Shashi Bhushan, Ajay Jain, Srilakshmi, Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, and Muralidhar Reddy are reportedly among those facing potential reassignments to the General Administration Department (GAD).
Furthermore, senior IPS officers Rajendranath Reddy, PSR Anjaneyulu, Kolli Raghurami Reddy, and others are anticipated to undergo transfers. The state government is deliberating actions against officials implicated in misconduct during the previous administration.
CM Naidu emphasized swift implementation of decisions, underscoring a commitment to efficient governance. The recent appointments and reassignments underscore a proactive approach to streamline operations across departments.
