Tirumala: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the formation of a special trust to mobilize funds for the construction of Lord Venkateswara temples in villages across the state that currently lack them. Speaking to the media after having darshan at Tirumala, he stated that the initiative would be undertaken purely for divine service.

Highlighting NT Rama Rao’s legacy, he recalled the introduction of Anna Danam (free food distribution) and emphasized the success of the Prana Danam (life-saving aid) programme. Now, he aims to add temple construction as a third major initiative.

The trust’s funds will be systematically managed, and the government will take strict action against encroachment of Lord Venkateswara’s lands. The CM reaffirmed that Tirumala’s sanctity must be preserved, announcing the revocation of land permissions granted for commercial establishments near the sacred Hills.

Additionally, Naidu declared that Lord Venkateswara temples will be constructed in state capitals across India and in countries with significant Hindu populations.
