Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials to ensure a complete overhaul of services and facilities to accommodate the increasing number of devotees for the next 50 years. During a review meeting at the State Secretariat, he emphasized that every decision should focus on upholding the sanctity of the temple and respecting devotees’ sentiments.
TTD officials presented a report on improvements made over the past nine months, including enhanced darshan facilities, better gallery arrangements, and special provisions for festivals like Brahmotsavams, Radha Saptami, and Vaikuntha Ekadasi. Plans for a base camp at Alipiri and the development of Goddess Sri Padmavathi and Lord Venkateswara temples were also discussed.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for financial accountability, proposing audits by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). He reiterated that temple funds should be used judiciously and that a 100% cleansing operation should be implemented within TTD, with no exceptions.
He also instructed officials to integrate services with Aadhaar and mobile numbers to prevent irregularities and enhance sanitation and greenery in Tirumala. Key TTD appointments, including the Joint Executive Officer (JEO) and Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO), will be announced soon.
