Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy officially launched the ‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’ scheme, aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for Telangana’s youth. The launch event, held at the Assembly premises, was attended by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and several party leaders.

Highlighting the state’s achievements, CM Revanth Reddy announced that over 54,000 government jobs had been filled in the first year of the Congress government—a record unmatched by any other state. He also emphasized key welfare initiatives, including 200 units of free electricity for 50 lakh families, subsidized gas cylinders at ₹500 for 43 lakh households, and the distribution of 1.20 crore high-quality sarees to 65 lakh women in self-help groups.

The Chief Minister criticized the previous government, accusing it of corruption and financial mismanagement. He asserted that his administration is working to restore economic stability by repaying debts while reducing unnecessary expenditures. He further noted that Telangana has become the top state in controlling the rise in GST collections.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka stressed the government’s dual focus on both public sector employment and self-employment opportunities. He urged rural youth to utilize the Yuva Vikasam scheme to secure livelihoods.

With recruitment drives in full swing, the state government aims to establish transparent governance, ensuring equitable opportunities for all.
