Hyderabad: Bharath Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of mishandling the state’s economy. He alleged that the state government has admitted to a financial downturn, with revenues declining by ₹70,000 crores.

KTR termed this revelation as a major embarrassment, stating that the government’s acknowledgment of economic failure proves its inefficiency. He accused CM Revanth Reddy of acting as an “approver” before the budget, signaling a total governance collapse. He further blamed the Chief Minister’s policies for the state’s financial distress, particularly citing the closure of the Kaleshwaram project and its adverse impact on agriculture.

Taking a dig at Revanth Reddy’s alleged political dealings, KTR questioned his silence on secret meetings with BJP leaders. He demanded clarity on why neither the CM nor the BJP had addressed these speculations. KTR also challenged the Congress government’s priorities, criticizing the spending of ₹2,000 crores on beauty contests while neglecting welfare schemes for women.

He also dismissed accusations related to the Formula E-Race controversy, asserting that a fresh investigation would be conducted to uncover the truth.
