Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed vigilance officials to investigate the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) over allegations of ticket-related harassment during IPL 2025. The controversy erupted after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) accused HCA of pressuring them for additional tickets and passes.
A letter from an SRH representative to the HCA treasurer surfaced, highlighting concerns over ticket allocation. According to the agreement, HCA is entitled to 10% (3,900) complimentary tickets, including an F12A corporate box with 50 seats. However, SRH alleged that HCA reduced its capacity to 30 this year and demanded 20 more tickets. Additionally, they claimed that the F-3 box was locked during the previous match, further escalating tensions.
Upon learning about the issue, CM Revanth Reddy expressed strong discontent with HCA’s actions and ordered an immediate probe by vigilance officials. The investigation aims to uncover any irregularities and ensure transparency in ticket allocation.
The controversy has sparked debates over the management of cricket affairs in Hyderabad, with fans and stakeholders eagerly awaiting the outcome of the probe.
