Mahabubnagar: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged the people of Palamuru district not to fall for illusions and to seize the long-awaited opportunity for development. Addressing the Raitu Festival Sabha in Mahabubnagar, the CM highlighted his government’s efforts to prioritize farmers and infrastructure development.

He stated that the public government has invested over ₹54,000 crore in farmers’ welfare and reminded the audience of the Congress party’s historical support for farmers. Revanth Reddy said, “A year ago, you overthrew an autocratic government and brought a democratic one. Yet, Palamuru’s struggles persisted, with many families migrating for work.”

Criticizing previous governments, he questioned their failure to complete the farmer loan waiver and mocked their neglect of agriculture. In contrast, he highlighted his government’s achievements, including waiving ₹21,000 crore of farmer loans for 25 lakh families in a year and offering bonuses for rice cultivation.

The CM emphasized the importance of industrialization in Palamuru, urging people not to block projects due to misinformation. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring jobs and industries to our district,” he said. He assured that all pending projects, including Nagarjunasagar and Srisailam, will be completed and promised fair compensation for land acquisitions.
