Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board of trustees has reinstated a special privilege for locals to have Srivari Darshan at the Tirumala temple. Starting December 3, locals can avail of the darshan on the first Tuesday of every month, a decision made during the TTD board’s inaugural meeting on November 18.
For this purpose, tokens will be distributed on December 1 at the Mahathi Auditorium in Tirupati and the Community Hall at Balaji Nagar, Tirumala, starting from 5 a.m. Eligible residents of Tirupati Urban, Tirupati Rural, Chandragiri, Renigunta mandals, and Tirumala can collect the tokens by presenting their original Aadhaar cards.
This initiative aims to provide a hassle-free darshan experience for residents in the surrounding areas. The TTD board has been actively working to ensure smooth arrangements for the locals’ darshan. The restored practice is expected to strengthen the connection between the Tirumala temple and its local devotees.
