Tadepalli: Former Minister Ambati Rambabu has accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of engaging in quid pro quo by withdrawing CID appeals in the Margadarsi Chits case. Speaking to the media at the party central office on Friday, Rambabu alleged that the move was designed to protect the business interests of the Ramoji family, specifically targeting Ramoji Rao, whom he labeled a “white-collar criminal.”
Rambabu questioned the legality of the case withdrawal, suggesting it was a strategic maneuver to shield Ramoji Rao’s empire from legal scrutiny. He vowed to pursue legal action against what he described as a clear example of quid pro quo. The former minister criticized the TDP government for prioritizing the interests of their supporters over fulfilling their electoral promises to the public.
Regarding the recent defections of MPs, Rambabu highlighted that Chandrababu Naidu’s political career has been marred by the “buying and selling of political leaders.” He downplayed the impact of these defections, asserting that the YSRCP’s voter base remains robust and unaffected at 40%.
Rambabu also addressed concerns about the Kadambari Jethwani case, accusing the government of employing flawed strategies and attempting to fabricate accusations. He warned that such tactics would ultimately backfire and affirmed that the YSRCP would not be intimidated by political schemes orchestrated by Naidu and sympathetic media.
