
Vijayawada: Republic Day celebrations were held in a grand manner across Andhra Pradesh. Governor Justice Abdul Nazir unfurled the national flag at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Ground in Vijayawada, receiving the ceremonial salute from the police. The event was graced by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Abdul Nazir emphasized the state government’s commitment to development and fulfilling public aspirations. He criticized the previous government for accumulating debts and praised the current administration for working toward a “Golden Andhra Vision.” Highlighting key initiatives, he mentioned efforts to secure a special package for the Visakha Steel Plant and the implementation of 10 guiding principles aimed at achieving health, wealth, and happiness for all citizens.
In Undavalli, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu led separate Republic Day celebrations, paying tribute to portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He hoisted the national flag and distributed sweets as part of the festivities.
The vibrant celebrations reflected unity and progress, with a clear focus on the state’s ambitious development agenda.
