Amaravati: Nara Lokesh, the National General Secretary of the TDP, took a jab at Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, suggesting he award the “Baskar Award” instead of an Oscar for mishandling the stone attack incident in Amaravati. Speaking at a Rachabanda program in Neerukonda, Mangalagiri Mandal, Lokesh addressed various issues faced by the people, particularly farmers’ grievances.

Lokesh highlighted farmers’ complaints about irregular rent payments and delayed pension disbursements under Jagan’s administration. Promising relief, Lokesh assured residents that, if elected, his government would continue the Rs. 5 thousand pension for the poor and ensure prompt rent payments with interest for assigned farmers. Additionally, he pledged to expedite stalled projects in the capital on a priority basis.

Lokesh’s remarks underscored the ongoing political maneuvering ahead of elections, with the TDP positioning itself as a champion for Amaravati’s residents and critic of the incumbent government’s policies. These statements add fuel to the electoral discourse in Amaravati, shaping voter perceptions as the campaign intensifies.
