Tadepalli: YSR Congress Party President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched a scathing attack on TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh by failing to fulfill key election promises.
In a post on X, Jagan highlighted the TDP’s unfulfilled commitments, particularly targeting its failure to implement the Thalliki Vandanam scheme, which promised ₹15,000 annually per child. He contrasted this with his government’s Amma Vodi scheme, which has successfully disbursed ₹26,067 crore to 44.48 lakh mothers and 84 lakh children, promoting education among the underprivileged.
Jagan also criticized the TDP for neglecting farmers by abandoning the promised ₹20,000 annual support under Rythu Bharosa. He pointed out that the YSRCP government provided ₹13,500 per year to 53.58 lakh farmers, totaling ₹34,378 crore, while ensuring free crop insurance, MSP, and operational Rythu Bharosa Kendras.
He condemned the TDP’s unfulfilled promises, including ₹18,000 for women above 18 years, ₹36,000 in unemployment benefits, and ₹48,000 for women above 50 years. Alleging scams in sand, liquor, and rising charges across sectors, Jagan accused the TDP of exploiting public trust.
Jagan reaffirmed YSRCP’s commitment to people-centric governance, vowing to hold TDP accountable for its failures.
