Undavalli: The political landscape is witnessing a significant shift as leaders from various backgrounds align themselves with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), expressing confidence in the victory of the NDA alliance in the upcoming elections. Vijayawada MP candidate Keshineni Shivnath (Chinni) asserted that the tide is turning in favor of TDP, with leaders and workers from the YCP joining their ranks.
Gujjari Amar Babu, grandson of ex-MLA Marupilla Chitti, and former mayor Tadi Shakuntala of Vijayawada-based Nagarala community, led by Keshineni Shivnath, recently joined TDP in a gathering held at Undavalli.
Lokesh, addressing the gathering, emphasized TDP’s commitment to social justice, particularly for the weaker sections. He highlighted TDP’s history of protecting the interests of backward classes (BCs) and pledged to continue this legacy by enacting the BC Protection Act under the People’s Government.
Echoing Lokesh’s sentiments, Keshineni Shivnath cited dissatisfaction with Jagan’s policies as the reason for his departure from the YCP and subsequent alignment with TDP. The influx of leaders like Shivnath underscores the growing momentum of the NDA alliance in the region, setting the stage for a fiercely contested electoral battle.
