Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Executive President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) once again launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the alleged irregularities in the allocation of Amrit tenders. KTR took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to accuse Revanth Reddy of awarding a tender worth Rs. 1,137 crore to a company linked to his brother-in-law, raising serious concerns over corruption.

In his post, KTR claimed that the Chief Minister violated Sections 7, 11, and 13 of the Anti-Corruption Act by awarding the lucrative tender to a company that allegedly had no prior experience. He sarcastically questioned whether sending a legal notice to his brother-in-law would intimidate people into silence over the Chief Minister’s illegal activities. “Did you think sending a notice would stop us from talking about your corruption? You are feeding your brother-in-law nectar while poisoning the poor,” KTR remarked in his tweet.

The BRS leader further alleged that the company in question had minimal earnings, amounting to only Rs. 2 crore, before securing the massive tender, implying that political connections played a role in its selection. He warned the Chief Minister that his BJP allies would not be able to protect him for long, comparing the situation to that of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, who faced legal scrutiny over a similar controversy. KTR’s remarks signaled that the BRS was determined to continue its pursuit of accountability on the issue, regardless of attempts to suppress the matter through legal threats.

The public exchange between KTR and Revanth Reddy adds another layer of tension between the ruling parties in Telangana as accusations of corruption escalate ahead of upcoming elections.
