Amaravati: Power Minister Gottipati Ravikumar strongly criticized YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his alleged mismanagement during his tenure as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. Ravikumar accused Jagan of destroying the state’s power infrastructure, increasing electricity charges nine times, and pushing the power sector into a debt trap of over ₹1 lakh crore. He remarked sarcastically, questioning whether Jagan deserves a shawl for these actions or recognition as the “Emperor of Corruption.”

The minister further alleged that Andhra Pradesh regressed by 20 years under Jagan’s rule, claiming his corruption has now gained national notoriety. He emphasized that Jagan’s governance dishonored the state and hindered its progress.

In light of the cyclone forecast, Minister Gottipati Ravikumar conducted a teleconference with officials from Nellore, Chittoor, Annamayya, and Tirupati districts. He urged authorities to remain vigilant and take preventive measures to avoid accidents, such as power pole collapses, due to heavy rains and strong winds. This proactive approach aims to mitigate potential damages caused by the cyclone.
