Hyderabad: Telangana IT Minister Sridhara Babu recently emphasized that Andhra Pradesh (AP) holds significant global potential, especially due to its abundant coastal resources. Addressing the media on Tuesday, Babu remarked that the state’s coastal region offers tremendous opportunities for industrial growth, and several Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) have already been signed with prominent companies.

Babu appreciated the efforts of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, acknowledging his dedication to securing investments and fostering economic development in the state. However, he also dismissed claims made by Nara Lokesh in Davos, stating that the details of these MOUs should be announced in AP itself, not elsewhere.

Highlighting the unprecedented investment influx in the state, Babu pointed out that AP had not seen such an investment boom in the past decade. Furthermore, he shared that Telangana is poised for growth with a new IT policy tailored to current trends. The government is also planning to expand IT hubs around the Triple R area, develop malls near Hyderabad, and establish two new dry ports.

Babu emphasized that policies should remain consistent across governments for long-term growth, citing Prime Minister Modi’s continuity with policies introduced under Manmohan Singh. He criticized Jagan’s administration for not carrying forward established policies in AP.
