USA: Former US President Donald Trump has made key remarks regarding Russia’s stance on the Ukraine war, alleging that Russian President Vladimir Putin is deliberately delaying the ceasefire agreement. Trump suggested that despite US mediation efforts, Moscow is obstructing the process to prolong the conflict.

In a recent media interview, Trump stated, “I believe Russia wants to end the war, but they are dragging their feet. While the US is working on a ceasefire agreement, Putin seems to be deliberately stalling. I want to stop this bloodshed and reduce financial aid to Kiev.”

The US had proposed a 30-day temporary ceasefire, which Ukraine has already accepted. Diplomatic efforts are underway to persuade Russia, with negotiations taking place on a Saudi platform. On Tuesday, the White House announced a breakthrough, revealing an agreement between Washington and Moscow to halt attacks in the Black Sea. However, just hours later, Trump criticized Russia’s approach.

Following a recent phone call between Trump and Putin, Moscow reportedly agreed in principle to a ceasefire but set conditions, including the lifting of Western sanctions. Additionally, Russia is refusing to return the Zaporizhia nuclear plant to Ukraine, further complicating peace efforts.
