Amaravati: The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) appears to be facing further defections, with reports suggesting that two more MLCs, Karri Padmashri and Balli Kalyan Chakravarthy, are likely to resign from their positions and the party. This follows the recent resignation of MLC Potula Sunitha, who also left YSRCP.
On Thursday, YSRCP faced a significant setback when Rajya Sabha MPs Mopidevi Venkataramana and Beda Masthan Rao resigned from their parliamentary posts and the party. Sources indicate that six additional YSRCP MPs are considering resigning from both the party and their respective posts.
There are speculations that among these eight politicians, four may join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), while the other four might shift allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Observers note that those with a long history in politics are likely to gravitate towards TDP, while those from business backgrounds might favor BJP. A clearer picture is expected to emerge in the coming days as the situation develops.
