Vijayawada: In a significant political move, Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan unveiled the party’s candidate for the Visakhapatnam South assembly constituency on Sunday. Former MLC Vamsi Krishna Yadav emerged as the chosen contender during an announcement made by Kalyan, who was in Pithapuram as part of his intensive election campaign.
During his visit, Kalyan convened a crucial meeting with party leaders aimed at finalizing candidates for three remaining assembly seats. After careful consideration, Pawan Kalyan opted for Vamsi Yadav, citing his unwavering dedication and commitment to the party’s ideals.
Additionally, the Jana Sena chief meticulously evaluated the ongoing campaign efforts of the 19 assembly and two parliamentary candidates previously declared by the party. This strategic review underscores Kalyan’s proactive approach towards ensuring a formidable electoral presence in the upcoming polls.
Sourcers said that Pawan Kalyan deployed special teams to assess the performance of the candidates and eyeing to place senior party leaders as incharges.
