Patiala: A heartbreaking incident in Patiala has left authorities investigating the suspected poisoning of a 10-year-old girl who tragically lost her life after consuming a cake ordered online. The incident, which occurred on March 24, has prompted swift action from local law enforcement.
According to reports, the young girl, identified as Manvi from Patiala, Punjab, celebrated her birthday on the 24th of March. As part of the celebration, a cake was ordered online from a local bakery. However, what was intended to be a joyous occasion quickly turned into a nightmare when, after the cake was cut and consumed by family members at 7 pm, everyone fell ill by 10 pm.
Manvi, experiencing a hoarse throat, drank water and retired for the night. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated overnight, prompting her family to rush her to the hospital the next morning. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, tragically, Manvi succumbed to her illness.
The grieving family suspects foul play, alleging that the cake was contaminated and led to the poisoning that claimed Manvi’s life. In response to their complaint, local authorities have initiated a case against the owner of the bakery.
