Tadepalli: Former Minister Sake Sailajanath has raised serious concerns over the inadequate security provided to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, despite his Z+ category protection. Sailajanath criticized the state government for failing to ensure the safety of YS Jagan, who continues to enjoy immense popularity and widespread public support.

In a scathing attack, Sailajanath questioned the government’s motives for viewing YS Jagan’s visits to farmers as problematic. He accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of neglecting farmers’ welfare and engaging in divisive politics instead of addressing critical issues. Sailajanath highlighted Naidu’s alleged failure to promote development, obstructing the establishment of medical colleges, and ignoring the struggles of farmers, particularly in the Rayalaseema region.

The former minister also pointed to broader governance lapses, including shortages of essential supplies in government hospitals and inefficiencies within the police force, as recently noted by the High Court. Sailajanath urged Naidu to shift focus from political vendettas to public welfare, emphasizing the need for honest leadership and development-oriented governance.

As the debate over YS Jagan’s security intensifies, concerns about the state government’s priorities and commitment to public safety remain at the forefront.
