Tirupati: Galla Arunakumari, a social worker and daughter of former minister Rajagopal Naidu, has made headlines with the success of her recently launched autobiography. Hailing from Chittoor district, Arunakumari is the co-founder of Amara Raja Institutions and is known for her dedication to social causes. Her autobiography, priced at Rs. 1,000, has sold over 5,000 copies, with all proceeds earmarked for the education of underprivileged students.
In an interview to a famous Telugu news paper, Arunakumari shared her initial thoughts of distributing the book for free. However, after receiving advice from her collaborators, Nami Subrahmanyam Naidu and Sakam Nagaraja, she decided to use the book sales to support social service initiatives. “The money from the sales will be donated on October 2, in honor of Srikrishna Devaraya,” she stated. She also recalled how she and her friends used to help a struggling student in her village by contributing to his educational expenses.
Arunakumari’s autobiography, spanning 1,000 pages, reflects her life, experiences, and commitment to social welfare.
