Opposition wants to disrupt not discuss- Arun Jaitley.

Arun Jaitley, the finance minister, said in the parliament today that he is confident the government has taken right action on controlling black money. The opposition made a ruckus in the parliament regarding the demonetisation move that UPA government took on November 8. Mr. Jaitley stressed that the opposition had little substance but more noise. He also added that the opposition wants to disrupt and not discuss the move. He added that they were ready to answer any questions posed by opposition.

Speaking to the media Jaitley said, “It was a debate without any afore set conditions on the first day. And the following days, they demanded unreasonable conditions and it goes on.” In an opposition attacking statement, he added, “Parties that once were a part of every scandal in the country are now opposing demonetisation. Those who didn’t consider scandals to be a mistakes are now considering demonetisation a mistake.” After the pre-lunch session in which opposition members Dr.Manmohan Singh, Derek O’Brien criticized the government for their lack of planning, Jaitley slammed, “Our stand is clear. There must be a discussion on this issue.

This is not an ego battle, we need to find a solution. It is good that you have come to us after five days. We cannot find a solution with someone with hubris. In all humility, I appeal to the prime minister. People are suffering, please take our suggestions,” he said. Adding he said that the decision if the 500/1000 rs notes usage will be communicated by tonight.
