Tadepalli: YSRCP Chief and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to secure the necessary approvals for five newly proposed medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. These colleges are slated to begin classes in the current academic year, but delays in obtaining approvals have raised concerns.
Taking to the social media platform X, YS Jagan urged CM Naidu to use his influence with the central government to expedite the approval process. He criticized Naidu for neglecting public health infrastructure, accusing him of inefficiency in handling crucial projects. YS Jagan pointed out that five additional colleges, located in Paderu, Markapuram, Madanapalle, Pulivendula, and Adoni, were supposed to commence classes this year but remain in limbo due to the delay.
YS Jagan also highlighted the healthcare reforms initiated during his tenure, such as the establishment of village and ward clinics, the family doctor program, and the expansion of the Aarogyasri scheme. He criticized Naidu’s preference for privatization, warning that it could lead to unaffordable healthcare services for the public.
