Hyderabad: Medak forest department officials recovered four deer carcasses from an autorickshaw in Veldurthi mandal. According to the officials the department received a tip-off about the auto-rickshaw transporting deer carcasses.
The vehicle was spotted near Settipally village. The driver stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and fled, he said. Officials seized the auto-rickshaw and sent the carcasses for autopsy.
A report will be available by Saturday morning, the official said. “With the help of the RTA, we identified the owner of the autorickshaw as one Shekhar Goud, but it appears that he had sold it to someone else,” he said. Efforts are on to track the driver and the owner of the autorickshaw.
