
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced the second phase of its public governance program, scheduled to run for ten days from September 17. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, during a review meeting at the Secretariat, emphasized the government’s commitment to improving public services, particularly in the health sector.
The CM reviewed ongoing health department projects and highlighted the formation of a cabinet sub-committee responsible for establishing eligibility and procedures for issuing ration cards. In addition to ration cards, the government has decided to issue health profile cards containing comprehensive health details for all residents of the state.
The upcoming public governance program aims to collect the necessary information for both ration and health cards. The first phase of this program, conducted from December 28 to January 6, saw the submission of 1.25 crore applications for six government guarantees across the state.
In his directives, CM Revanth Reddy instructed officials to ensure field-level staff are well-prepared for the program. He also conducted a review of the new Osmania Hospital project in Goshamahal, emphasizing the need for long-term planning. The CM stressed the importance of completing the land transfer process and finalizing designs and plans for the new hospital, keeping in mind the needs of the next fifty years. He also directed the allocation of an alternative location for the City Police Academy, which is currently in Goshamahal, to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
