LG Set To Manufacture Smartphones In India: Leading smartphone maker LG recently launched its killer flagship smartphone- LG G4 at a price tag of Rs 51,000. The LG G4 is a successor to the LG G3 which was one of the bestselling smartphones for LG. An ambitious Managing Director of LG India Soon Kwon expects to sell as many as 1 lakh LG G4 smartphones in the next three months.
LG is contemplating to start manufacturing phones in India once it attains a market share of 10% and the company is confident that they will reach this target by the end of December this year.
Soon Kwon also revealed LG’s big plans, as they are set to invest around Rs 1000 crore towards R&D and marketing to further pierce the Indian consumer market.
During the launch event, Kwon while talking to a leading media organization said “My aim is to double out market share and increase the contribution of the mobile business to 15%, towards our overall revenue,”
