Tadepalli: YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy lambasted TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu for orchestrating a campaign of falsehoods to mislead the public and cover up the government’s inefficiency in delivering election promises, including the much-touted “Super Six.”
Speaking to the media, Jagan Mohan Reddy countered accusations on state finances with evidence backed by Assembly-tabled Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports. He clarified that state debt, contrary to claims of ₹10-14 lakh crore, stood at ₹6.4 lakh crore. He highlighted that financial discipline during his tenure outperformed the 2014-19 Chandrababu-led government despite challenges like COVID-19.
Jagan criticized the coalition for failing to deliver promises like free bus travel for women and three free LPG cylinders. He contrasted this with YSRCP’s achievements, including the creation of 1.3 lakh jobs in village secretariats and absorbing 2.66 lakh volunteers.
He also accused the TDP of rolling back land reforms, neglecting housing projects, and fostering scams in liquor and sand. Jagan alleged that dissenters were being silenced through false cases and arrests, calling this a suppression of democracy.
On Polavaram, Jagan blamed delays on Chandrababu Naidu’s mismanagement and greed, reiterating his party’s commitment to delivering on promises for the people.
