Amaravati: The government has suspended several officials following the burning of revenue documents at the Madanapalle sub-collector’s office in Annamaiya district. The suspended officials include former RDO Murali, current RDO Hariprasad, and senior assistant Gautham. Special Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, RP Sisodia, issued the suspension orders.

The incident occurred on the night of the 21st at 11:30 PM when a fire broke out in the sub-collector’s office. DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao initially suggested that the fire might not have been accidental, prompting an investigation. Police are now interrogating associates of former minister Peddi Reddy and Rajampet MP Mithun Reddy.

Given the suspicious nature of the incident, the suspension of these officials has become a priority as the investigation continues.
