Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu unveiled the national flag during the Republic Day celebrations held at Kartavya Path in Delhi. She received a salute from the military forces, marking the event’s grandeur. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was the chief guest for this year’s ceremony, which highlighted the unity of the three armed forces.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Ministers, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony. This year’s theme, “Swarhim Bharat, Virasat Aur Vikas” (Self-Reliant India, Heritage and Development), was showcased through various tableau displays.

Key attractions included the display of advanced weaponry such as BrahMos, Akash missiles, and Pinaka multi-barrel rockets. Helicopters flying over Kartavya Path showered flower petals, adding a festive touch. The Republic Day parade, spanning 9 kilometers from Rashtrapati Bhavan to Red Fort, showcased 31 tableaux representing states, union territories, and central departments.

The event celebrated India’s rich heritage and progress, with performances and cultural displays that captivated attendees and highlighted the country’s unity in diversity.
