Hyderabad: BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar defended the Gurukula Bata initiative led by BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR), which aims to address the issues faced by Gurukula students in Telangana. Speaking at a program organized at Telangana Bhavan, Praveen Kumar emphasized that the initiative was launched to understand and resolve the challenges students encounter in Gurukula institutions.
Reacting to allegations made by Minister Konda Surekha, who accused him of providing contaminated food to Gurukula students, Praveen Kumar strongly denied the claims. He reminded the public that Konda Surekha had been rejected by the people of Telangana in previous elections. Additionally, Praveen Kumar urged that if any evidence exists regarding the allegations, it should be handed over to the CBI for investigation.
Praveen Kumar, a former IPS officer with recognition from the central government, shared his dedication to student welfare, having left a seven-year police career to pursue politics for the betterment of education. He dismissed the accusations, asserting that the goal of the Gurukula Bata initiative is to serve students, not to hinder their progress.
