
Srisailam: The revered Srisaila Mahakshetra witnessed a grand celebration on Thursday as the Golden Chariotsavam of Bhramaramba and Mallikarjuna Swamivars was held in honor of Arudra Nakshatra. The event began at 7:30 a.m., with the temple priests performing mantrapuspa nirajanas (ritualistic offerings) to the deities, who were mounted on a beautifully adorned golden chariot.
The Radhotsavam (chariot festival) was ceremoniously initiated by Ratham Datha, Kovuru MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy, Srisaila Jagadguru Dr. Chennasiddharama Panditaradhya Sivacharya Swamy, and Devasthanam EO D. Peddiraja. They offered coconuts and a pumpkin to mark the commencement of the sacred procession.
As the chariot made its way through the temple streets, the idols of Swami and Ammavaru were paraded amidst the chants and devotional remembrance of Lord Shiva by hundreds of devotees. The event was a spectacle of faith, with devotees participating enthusiastically in the celebration, ensuring the success of this significant ritual.
