Amaravati: Tensions are rising as victims of alleged land grabs and administrative injustice continue to pour into the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Amaravati. Complaints of under-representation of land in resurvey records, illegal issuance of passbooks to encroachers, and canceled pensions have become the focal point of the party’s grievance redressal efforts.
Victims claim that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders manipulated land records, issued fraudulent passbooks, and denied rightful benefits such as pensions, especially for those with disabilities, on the grounds of political bias. Those affected say that despite being fully qualified, their pensions were canceled simply because they did not support the ruling party. Additionally, pending bills from contracts awarded during the TDP government are being withheld.
In response, TDP ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and leaders are taking swift action by meeting with the victims, listening to their concerns, and assuring them that their complaints will be addressed. The grievances are being taken up through TDP’s “Prajavedika” initiative, led by party president Chandrababu Naidu.
Chandrababu Naidu Leads the Charge
Under the leadership of TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu, the “Prajavedika” program was launched at the TDP central office in June, providing a platform for victims to raise their issues. Every Saturday, Naidu personally receives petitions and listens to the grievances, ensuring that ministers and senior party leaders are involved in resolving the complaints.
Naidu has emphasized that the previous government ignored public concerns, with YSRCP leaders allegedly abusing their power to confiscate land and silence opposition. He reiterated that the TDP is committed to fighting these injustices and restoring the rights of the victims.
