Hyderabad: Telangana State Information and Technology Minister Shridhar Babu has announced an ambitious plan to expand the state’s IT sector, focusing on providing incentives and concessions to IT companies while prioritizing employee welfare. The announcement came during a public hearing held on Sunday at the Nampally Exhibition Ground, organized by the Alindia Professionals Congress in collaboration with the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).

The event addressed the concerns of employees affected by the recent layoffs at Brain Enterprises in Hyderabad, where 1,500 workers were unexpectedly dismissed, and salaries remained unpaid for five months. Minister Shridhar Babu expressed his concerns about the injustice faced by the employees and assured that the government, along with Alindia Professionals Congress, would engage in discussions with the company’s leadership to ensure justice is served.

PCC President Mahesh Kumarhead, Alindia Professionals Congress Chairman Praveen Chakraborty, retired Judge Justice Chandrakumar, and other prominent figures attended the event. Satish Manne, Chairman of Rashtra Technology Services Limited, and other dignitaries, including Christian Minority Finance Corporation Chairman Deepak John and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation CEO Vijay Mahajan, also participated.

The Telangana government’s efforts aim to create a more robust IT ecosystem while safeguarding employee rights in the growing tech industry.
