Varra Ravindra Reddy’s life under threat: Rachamallu

Prodduturu: YSRCP spokesperson Rachamallu Sivaprasada Reddy has expressed serious concerns for the safety of social media activist Varra Ravindra Reddy, demanding that he be promptly produced in court. Rachamallu highlighted that recent media coverage by TDP-aligned outlets, coupled with statements from high-ranking police officials, has created suspicions of a possible threat to Ravindra Reddy’s life.

Speaking to reporters, Rachamallu noted that frequent headlines and extensive media attention surrounding Ravindra Reddy’s reported arrest, alleged escape, and the transfer of a high-ranking SP officer suggest an orchestrated conspiracy. He questioned the need for such intense publicity around a small-scale activist known for critiquing government shortcomings, suggesting that the attention may be part of a larger scheme.

“If Ravindra’s posts were indeed objectionable, standard legal action could have sufficed without extensive media coverage and high-level police involvement. All these actions raise serious doubts,” Rachamallu stated. He urged authorities to bring Ravindra Reddy before the court, disclosing the details of his arrest, as his supporters believe he may be in danger.

Rachamallu further criticized the current state of governance, stating, “The widespread human rights violations have put the state in a climate of fear.”
