Guntur: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has criticized Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for his comments at Kakinada Port, accusing him of incoherent statements that reveal growing tensions within the coalition government. At separate press conferences, former ministers Ambati Rambabu and Kurasala Kannababu responded to Pawan’s allegations that officials did not cooperate with him.
The YSRCP leaders argued that Pawan Kalyan’s theatrics and complaints about officials at the port gave the impression that he lacks control over administration. They also raised questions about why higher-ranking officials weren’t involved in addressing the issue.
Kakinada Port, a key location for rice exports, has seen issues with PDS rice smuggling in the past. Despite Civil Supplies Minister Nadendal Mahonar’s earlier intervention, Pawan Kalyan’s dramatic entry into the situation only highlighted his lack of understanding or knowledge, they said.
The YSRCP also dismissed claims that they were involved in the ongoing PDS rice scam, blaming the coalition for corruption at the port. The leaders criticized coalition members for engaging in power struggles over financial gains, including liquor and sand revenue, and for causing public distress with disputes.
