An Indian Army soldier and three terrorists were killed in gunfights between the Army officials and the militants, in the districts of Kulgam and Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, today.
The encounters started in Kulgam and Pulwama districts, this morning, which left two militants dead in Kulgam and one militant dead in Pulwama. The gunfight broke out after the Army and the State Police officials received information about two to three militants hiding in a house in Kulgam.
The police officials and security forces cordoned off the area and launched an operation in the Redwani area of Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces are inspecting the areas to ensure there are no more terrorists hiding anywhere. In Hafoo (Pulwama) and Kulgam (South Kashmir,) the exchange of fire is still going on between the security forces and the militants.
Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a lot of militant attacks since the civic polls took place.
