On the 1st of April, the wife of famous Malayalam actor Mr. Jagadish Ms.P. Rema passed away at their home in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Mr. Jagish is noted for his comic roles in multiple Malayali projects and worked in over 50 movies, since the 1990s.
Ms. P. Rema, 61 years old was the former head of the Department of Forensic Medicine of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. However, recently, due to her health conditions, she took voluntary retirement. She was also involved in investigating several high-profile criminal cases in Kerala. Even though she was the wife of a prominent actor, she liked to stay away from the limelight.
According to sources, Ms. P. Rema was diagnosed with a rare neurological ailment and was undergoing treatment for the same. She is survived by the actor and their two doctor daughters, Dr. Remya Jagadish, who is a professor at Nagercoil Medical College in Tamil Nadu, and Dr. Soumya Jagadish who is a psychiatrist.
The news of Ms. P. Rema’s demise was confirmed by her husband Mr. Jagdish who said, “Rema has been unwell for some time now and passed away peacefully.”
Meanwhile, the last rites of Ms. P. Rema would be held later on the 1st of April.
