Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, reached Hyderabad, for the most awaited “Statue of Equality” inauguration, on the 5th of February, Saturday.

Mr. Narendra Modi arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad around 2:30 P.M., and was welcomed by the Telangana Governor Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Narendra Modi arrived at Shamshabad Airport a while ago where he was warmly welcomed by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Telangana Chief Secretary Mr. Somesh Kumar and other Government officials.

The Union Home Minister for State Mr. G. Kishan Reddy and senior state government officials were also present to welcome Mr. Modi.

Despite the plan, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, skipped the event and is likely to stay away from PM Narendra Modi due to fever.

Meanwhile, after entering the City, Mr. Narendra Modi visited the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics ( ICRISAT) to take part in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the renowned institute ICRISAT.

Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Climate Change Research Facility on Plant Protection and Rapid Generation Advancement Facility at the ICRISAT campus.  Later, he would also unveil an ICRISAT logo at the premises.

On the other hand, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) made all the necessary arrangements for the evening ceremony of Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations, scheduled to be held in Muchintala.  A total of 7,000 police personnel and security officials have been deployed for Mr. Narendra Modi, as he would visit the Statue of Equality inauguration venue.  The inauguration of the statue of 11th-century reformer Saint Ramanujacharya which would be 216 feet tall, would be unveiled by PM Modi at 5:30 P.M.

Notably, Mr. Narendra Modi is scheduled to fly back to Delhi on the night of Saturday.
