40 feet Blue Whale died on the shores of Maharashtra

The World largest animal died on the shores of Maharashtra. According to the local TV reports, A 40-feet-long female Blue Whale washed ashore near the coast of Revas in the Raigad district of Maharashtra on Wednesday.

Going into the details, this humongous fish was found by the locals when it washed ashore. The whale reportedly died on Thursday.

Despite efforts to move the 20-tonne marine mammal by local fishermen and the Alibaug forest department for more than 10 hours, the whale died ashore around 4am on Thursday.

The experts are opining that the whale may have got stranded in shallow waters which resulted its washout top the shore and ultimately to its eventual death.

This was not the first such incident either, Another dead whale was found at the Uran coast around two months ago. These incidents are bringing out the question if these happenings are result of raise in global water temperatures?
