Once again Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth made headlines on the 30th of December.
On the 30th of December, Tamilaruvi Manian, the political advisor of Megastar Rajinikanth, announced to quit politics.
The decision of Mr. Manian came a day after Superstar Rajinikanth withdrew his decision to launch his political party. Citing his health condition and doctor’s advice, the actor stepped back from launching his own political party.
An official announcement regarding the same was supposed to be made on the 31st of December.
Tamilaruvi Manian, the founder of the Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam said, though he is quitting politics, he would continue to work for the people.
Mr. Manian said, “I will not participate in politics till death embraces me. When poet Kannadasan left the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK,) he said he would come back. But I am leaving and will not return.” He further said, “My wife and children are severely affected by the cheap criticism of people. I have nothing to achieve in a world that cannot tell the difference between a stone and a precious gem.”
Tamilaruvi Manian has an experience of more than 50 years of active politics.
