AP CM Chandrababu Naidu praises PM

On Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu termed the Good and Services Taxes and Demonetisation as the biggest reforms after the Independence of India. He termed introduction of the GST as a bold move and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the inauguration of the 104th Indian Science Congress, Naidu said the GST regime and Demonetisation would put an end to a parallel economy. He also said that these changes will boost the economic progress of the nation. Chandrababu Naidu who is also a member of sub-committee of Chief Ministers on digital economy said that Andhra Pradesh has left a mark on the cashless transaction in the 50 days of Demonetisation after Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes were withdrawn from circulation.

The CM of AP, praising the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We have achieved 25 per cent digitization of the economy through cashless transactions in the state since November 8. By the end of March, we will achieve 50 percent cashless transactions.” He also said that the Prime Minister’s move of fighting terrorism, anti-social elements, and black money is praiseworthy. At this meet, Naidu revealed his plans on setting up a Silicon Valley in the state. He also said that the ongoing fiber grid project will provide TV, Internet and phone connectivity at a monthly rental of Rs. 149 to all the state citizens.
