Arvind Kejriwal Tests Negative For Novel Coronavirus

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, tested negative for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection on the 9th  of June.

On the morning of the 9th of June, the Delhi CM undergone the COVID-19 test after developing cold and mild fever.

The results of his COVID-19 test came in the evening of the 9th of June, which was negative.

Mr. Kejriwal was unwell since the 7th of June, after he attended the Cabinet meeting.  Since he was having fever he self isolated himself and decided to undergo a COVID-19 test.

The AAP confirmed the test results and said Mr. Kejriwal was doing better and had seasonal fever.

Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, on the 9th of June, showed concern over the growing cases of the Novel Coronavirus.  He said, Delhi might witness 5.5 lakh cases of the Coronavirus infection till the end of July.

However, Mr. Sisodia denied the rumours of community transmission of the virus, which is the third stage of the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Delhi is one of the worst hit cities due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in India.   Delhi is on the 3rd position in terms of the rise in cases, after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

As of the 9th of June, Delhi reported a total of 29,943 cases of the Novel Coronavirus, out of which 17,712 are active cases, 11,357 discharged/cured and 874 deceased.
