The Indian Government and the Chinese Government decided to evacuate as many as 250 Indians from China after the deadly Coronavirus killed 106 people in China.
In the view of the deadly virus in Wuhan city of China, the officials of the Country’s Government took a major step and started the evacuation process.
The Coronavirus, which spread across China, infected over 2,700 people on the 27th of January.
On the 27th of January, the Indian officials conducted a meeting with the Foreign Affairs Ministry officials of China regarding the current situation in China.
In the past nine days, approximately 3,756 air passengers who returned to India had to undergo extreme medical checkups in Mumbai. Out of the 3,756 passengers, 5 were said to show symptoms of being affected by the Coronavirus.
To prevent the virus from spreading, the Chinese Government, from the 23rd of January, shut down all public transportation in Wuhan and 17 other cities of China. In Beijing, as many as 82 people died due to the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
While the World Health Organisation (WHO) said the global risk due to the virus is “high,” a team of scientists in China is trying to develop a vaccine to fight the virus.
Passengers travelling from China to India are being screened specially and more than 100 people are under observation in Kerala and Maharashtra.
The Coronavirus is a deadly virus which leads to symptoms of cough, cold, fever, breathing issues and other respiratory problems. According to the WHO, the Coronavirus is a family of viruses which cause common health issues like cough and cold, severe illnesses such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) and may even lead to death. The incubation period of the virus is 10 to 14 days.
