New Delhi: At least two people were killed and another elderly person sustained injuries after a speeding car hit pedestrians at Delhi’s Janakpuri area yesterday.
According to police, Rishabh, 21-year-old- a resident of west Delhi’s Janakpuri was driving his father’s Honda City car at a speed of over 100 Kmph and hit 3 persons over a 1.5 km stretch before he was stopped and caught.
According to the footage, police confirmed that the first victim as Kameshwar Prasad, 40-year-old who was out for morning walk. The speeding car thew him several meters away. Rishabh did not stop, the car. He drove on and next hit 40-year-old Santosh who was cleaning his car in a residential area. He sped away again, driving in the wrong lane, and then hit 67-year-old Ashwani Anand, a property dealer who also was out for a morning walk with a neighbour.

“The incident took place at around 6 to 6:30 when my uncle was coming from his morning walk. The car hit him from back. There were three to four boys in the car. Out of which only one got arrested. They were so drunk that they were asking for cigarettes from the cops during questioning,” Arjun, one of the relatives of the victim, said.
