On Thursday, the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad arrested eleven alleged ISI operatives. One of these alleged accused is the relative of a sitting BJP corporator. According to Congress’s allegations, Dhruv Saxena, the arrested was also a district coordinator of the BJP’s IT cell of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Mocha (BJYM) in Madhya Pradesh.

Dhruv Saxena’s picture with the Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the party’s saffron color t-shirt has been doing the rounds on social media. BJP has denied these allegations and said that the party does not have any link with the arrested. But according to a report in India Today news daily, some senior party leaders expressed their concerns over ISI infiltration in the party.

A senior BJP leader speaking to the India Today said, “Denying association with those arrested in public is one thing but the real problem can be gauged from the fact that one of them was holding a post in the party’s IT cell and he had access to so much data and information.” Slamming this the Indian National Congress on Friday burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also MP CM Shivaraj Singh Chouhan.
The party members also tweeted messages about BJP in crude language.

the Maharastra BJP Chief Nand Kumar speaking about this issue said, “ I don’t know Dhruv and neither is he a member of the party. I congratulate ATS for the arrests. Digvijaya Singh’s tweet is aimed to vitiate communal harmony in the state.” the district president of BJYM, Anshul Tiwari, defending the party said, “A picture cannot corroborate connivance of any leader with a criminal or anti-social element. People take photos with top leaders and sometimes join public and party functions to take advantage. But this does not indicate any association.”
It is yet unclear if these allegations are true and if the ISI actually infiltrated the party or is a ruse created to distract the Country from many important topics.
