According to a daily, two militants were killed in an encounter on Tuesday by the security forces in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The special forces team launched the operation when the intelligence sources declared the presence of militants in Hajin village of Bandipora. During the search operation, the militants fired from their end which led to an encounter. The encounter killed two militants but the further details of the operation are yet to be revealed. One of the police officials said, “Two weapons have been recovered along with other war-like stores.”

The outfit of the two militants is believed to be Lashkar-e-Taiba but their identity is not yet confirmed. Raj Singh, the head constable of Border Security Forces lost his life after being heavily injured in the firing in Rajouri sector.
While there is a little evidence that Pakistan is in support of Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group’s action is influenced and aligned with Pakistani States’ interests.
