On the 29th of August, an Indian Army soldier was killed in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district during an encounter with militants.
The encounter broke out after the Indian Army official launched a search operation after intelligence’s tip off militants hiding in the area.
During the encounter, three unidentified militants were also neutralised by the security forces.
Soon additional security forces joined and cordoned off the Zadoora area.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police said, “Three unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter at Zadoora area of Pulwama. Incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition was recovered. Search going on.”
During the search operation, the officials recovered cache arms, one AK-47 rifle and two pistols.
The army officials present during the search operation said, “One soldier was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries. Joint operation in progress.”
The Pulwama encounter took place hours after the encounter which happened in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The search operation is underway.
