Mild tremors were felt in Manipur with a 3.0 earthquake magnitude in Churachandpur district. Tremors of 3.1 magnitudes were felt in Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh.
On Thursday morning, the National Centre for Seismology said that the quake hit at 6:45 A.M., IST at a depth of 10 km. Manmohan Singh, the local Meteorological Office director said “An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 was recorded at 11.26 P.M., last night, June 14.”
Himachal had an earthquake for three consecutive days in the last month. No loss of life or property has been reported in today’s quake. He also said that the epicenter of the quake was Chamba region near Jammu and Kashmir border. Six mild quakes were felt in Chamba for three days simultaneous from May 19, 2017, two on each day.
